Goodwill Ambassador

About the role

The Goodwill Ambassador will serve as the face of GRACARO in Bamenda, promoting its mission to protect, educate, and empower vulnerable groups. This volunteer position involves direct interaction with community members, partner organisations, and beneficiaries to raise awareness of GRACARO’s programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Represent GRACARO at local events and outreach activities, sharing information about its protection, education, and empowerment initiatives.
• Organise and participate in community workshops, advocacy campaigns, and empowerment programmes for children, minorities, and new entrepreneurs.
• Engage with diverse community members and partner organisations to build trust‑based relationships.
• Collect feedback from beneficiaries, document observations, and report findings to the GRACARO team.
• Support the planning and coordination of events, ensuring smooth execution and effective communication.

Required profile

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage respectfully with diverse community members.
• Interest or experience in community outreach, advocacy, or humanitarian work.
• Organisational and coordination abilities for supporting events and local initiatives.
• Willingness to learn about issues affecting children, minorities, and new entrepreneurs in Bamenda.
• Adaptability, cultural sensitivity, and commitment to inclusive, non‑discriminatory practices.
• Reliability and capacity to commit consistent volunteer time; prior volunteer experience is an asset.
• Fluency in local languages and/or English or French is beneficial.
