Hardware Engineer (Embedded & Mechanical Design)

About the role

Camertronix is seeking a versatile Hardware Engineer to take products from concept through to a working prototype. You will be responsible for circuit design, embedded firmware development, and creating 3D models for enclosures and mechanical parts.

Key responsibilities

• Design, simulate, and prototype electronic circuits and PCBs for new and existing products.
• Write and debug embedded firmware in C/C++ for microcontrollers such as STM32, ESP32, or Arduino.
• Create 3D CAD models for enclosures, mounts, and housings using tools like Fusion 360 or SolidWorks.
• Build and test functional prototypes, iterating quickly based on test results.
• Select components based on cost, availability, and performance.
• Utilize 3D printing, CNC, or injection‑molding processes to produce prototype parts.
• Document designs, schematics, and firmware for handoff and future development.
• Troubleshoot hardware and firmware issues across the full stack.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to align hardware design with product requirements and timelines.

Required profile

• Proven experience in circuit and PCB design.
• Solid embedded programming background with C/C++.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD software.
• Experience building and testing physical prototypes.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes such as 3D printing, CNC, or injection molding.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Portfolio or examples of past hardware projects is strongly preferred.
