Human Resources Officer

About the role

As a Human Resources Officer at Wave Cameroon, you will be the first point of contact for employee onboarding, compliance and HR requests. You will work closely with the People team and other departments to ensure a smooth employee experience and support business continuity across new markets.

Key responsibilities

• Support day‑to‑day operations of all HR functions.
• Manage end‑to‑end onboarding for new hires, from offer acceptance through first‑day integration.
• Collect, verify and file pre‑employment documentation in line with local legal requirements.
• Set up and maintain employee records in the HRIS, ensuring data accuracy.
• Coordinate onboarding schedules with Talent, hiring managers, payroll, IT and other stakeholders.
• Conduct induction sessions covering culture, values, internal regulations, code of conduct and company policies.
• Track probation periods and collaborate with payroll for related actions.
• Maintain audit‑ready employee files and support periodic HR audits.
• Prepare and provide supporting data for payroll processing.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and country legislation.

Required profile

• Provide both strategic and administrative support to the Human Resources Manager.
• Maintain and regularly update employee files to ensure completeness and audit‑readiness.
