Ignition MES Specialist – Manufacturing Execution Systems

About the role

Newell Brands is seeking an Ignition MES Specialist to join its global Manufacturing Execution Systems team. The role focuses on designing, developing, and enhancing solutions within the Ignition MES platform to support manufacturing operations across Latin America, with the majority of work performed remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, program, configure, and enhance applications on the Ignition MES platform.
• Design and maintain MES screens, reports, interfaces, workflows, and system functionality based on manufacturing requirements.
• Connect Ignition solutions to PLCs, industrial devices, databases, and other plant‑floor systems.
• Access, collect, and integrate production data from equipment and translate manufacturing needs into technical solutions.
• Support MES installations, upgrades, testing, commissioning, and system stabilization as needed.
• Troubleshoot application, data, integration, and connectivity issues in partnership with Plant Engineering and corporate teams.
• Develop and support MES analytics and reporting to provide visibility into equipment reliability and operational efficiency.
• Contribute to global MES development standards, documentation, and continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• 4–6+ years of professional experience with Ignition MES in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong hands‑on development and programming experience on the Ignition platform.
• Ability to work remotely and collaborate with manufacturing sites across Latin America.
• Effective communication with Plant Engineering, Associate Managers, corporate Lead Developers, and plant‑floor users.
