Interim Disrepair Surveyor – South London

About the role

The Local Authority in South London is seeking an experienced Interim Disrepair Surveyor to join its busy Disrepair Team. Reporting to the Disrepair Manager, you will take ownership of cases from inspection through to completion, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

Key responsibilities

• Undertake property inspections to diagnose disrepair issues and specify remedial works.
• Raise work orders and manage contractors through to completion.
• Carry out pre‑inspections, work‑in‑progress inspections and post‑completion checks.
• Project manage disrepair works, ensuring delivery within agreed timescales and budgets.
• Monitor contractor performance and enforce quality and health & safety standards.
• Act as the primary point of contact for tenants, providing clear communication throughout works.
• Coordinate temporary decants where required.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders including Legal and Tenancy teams.

Required profile

• Proactive, technically strong surveyor able to manage a varied caseload in a fast‑paced environment.
• Full UK driving licence.
