IT Assistant – Hybrid Marketing & Technical Support

About the role

We are looking for a proactive IT Assistant who will split their time between supporting our marketing and business development activities and providing first‑level technical support to the company. Based in Yaoundé, the role combines 60 % marketing assistance with 40 % IT engineering tasks, ensuring smooth daily operations while helping to generate new business opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and research potential clients, prospect new customers via phone, email and social media, and schedule meetings.
• Prepare proposals, quotations and presentations, maintain the CRM database and follow up on sales opportunities.
• Support the planning and execution of marketing campaigns and monitor market trends.
• Provide first‑level support for hardware, software and network issues, install and configure computers, laptops, printers and other equipment.
• Manage user accounts, perform password resets, install software updates and conduct routine data backups.
• Troubleshoot connectivity problems, maintain IT asset inventory and technical documentation, and escalate complex issues to senior staff.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or a related field.
• 1‑2 years of experience in IT support, sales, marketing or a similar hybrid role.
• Basic knowledge of computer hardware, software installation, networking and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite; experience with CRM systems is a plus.
• Good communication skills and ability to work independently.
