IT Auditor (Part-Time)

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented IT Auditor to join our Internal Audit / Risk Management team in Yaoundé on a part‑time basis. The role involves assessing the effectiveness of information systems, cybersecurity controls, and IT governance to ensure compliance with organisational policies and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute IT audit assignments in line with approved audit plans.
• Review and evaluate IT general controls, cybersecurity controls, and system access management.
• Assess the effectiveness of information security policies and procedures.
• Conduct risk assessments on IT systems, networks, databases and business applications.
• Identify weaknesses, vulnerabilities and compliance gaps.
• Test internal controls and document audit findings.
• Prepare audit reports with recommendations for corrective actions.
• Monitor implementation of audit recommendations and follow‑up actions.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, industry frameworks and company policies.
• Collaborate with IT teams, management and external auditors during audits.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Accounting or related field.
• 2‑5 years of experience in IT audit, information security, risk management or internal audit.
• Knowledge of IT audit methodologies and control frameworks.
• Understanding of cybersecurity principles, network security, databases, operating systems and cloud technologies.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and report‑writing abilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Preferred certifications: CISA, CISSP, CISM, ISO 27001 Lead Auditor.
