Junior Business Developer

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic and results‑oriented Junior Business Developer to join our growing organization in Douala. The role focuses on creating new business opportunities, acquiring partners, and driving commercial growth within the finance and FinTech sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, prospect, and acquire new merchants, clients, and business partners.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and partners, ensuring continued engagement.
• Identify new business opportunities and contribute to market expansion.
• Develop and implement commercial strategies to achieve business objectives.
• Conduct field visits and commercial activities as required.
• Monitor client and partner needs and provide appropriate solutions.
• Contribute to product and service improvement through client and market feedback.
• Prepare regular reports on business development activities and results.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Banking, Accounting, Marketing, Business Administration, Commerce, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of proven experience in Business Development, Sales, or a related commercial role.
• Professional experience in the finance sector, preferably in FinTech, digital payments, banking, or financial services.
• Strong negotiation, selling, and partnership development abilities.
• Fluent in English and French with willingness to travel within Douala.

Required skills

• Proficiency with digital tools and Microsoft Office.
• Comfortable using AI tools and digital platforms.
• Knowledge of CRM systems (advantageous).
