Medical Staff – Clinical Physician (Digestive Health)

About the role

The Medical Staff position is a full‑time, on‑site role based in the Communauté urbaine de Douala. You will provide high‑quality clinical care to patients with digestive and related conditions, handling assessment, diagnosis and treatment while working within multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct patient consultations and perform or assist with relevant medical procedures.
• Maintain accurate medical records and contribute to case discussions and clinical meetings.
• Participate in medical education initiatives and support ongoing research projects.
• Engage in continuous professional development aligned with SCGE’s scientific objectives.
• Adhere to clinical protocols, patient‑safety standards and ethical guidelines.
• Support the improvement of care pathways within the institution.

Required profile

• Strong foundational skills in general medicine with the ability to assess, diagnose and manage diverse clinical presentations.
• Medical degree and appropriate licensure to practice in Cameroon; residency or specialist training in gastroenterology, internal medicine or a related field is preferred.
• Experience in hospital or specialized clinical settings and proficiency in French; working knowledge of English is an advantage.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in multidisciplinary teams and commit to continuous learning, research and ethical practice.
