Operations Manager – Railway Wagon Maintenance

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead day‑to‑day activities for the maintenance, deployment and logistics of railway freight wagons in Cameroon. The role ensures safe, timely and efficient operations while supporting our client’s expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily wagon maintenance and operational activities on site.
• Coordinate with client operational teams to ensure smooth execution and high customer satisfaction.
• Monitor wagon availability, breakdowns and maintenance turnaround times, implementing preventive maintenance schedules.
• Liaise with the Indian engineering team for spare parts, consumables and technical support.
• Track project progress and prepare periodic operational and maintenance reports.
• Ensure compliance with local statutory, safety and environmental regulations.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience in operations, maintenance or logistics within the railway or heavy‑industry sector.
• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Production or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent).
• Fluent French (mandatory).
