Parts Sales Specialist

About the role

The Parts Sales Specialist will work on‑site at ABN Motors in Douala, advising customers on the right automotive components, preparing accurate quotations and processing orders through the counter, phone or email. The role also ensures parts availability by coordinating with the warehouse and supporting inventory control activities.

Key responsibilities

• Prospect and develop a client portfolio, identifying spare‑parts and service needs.
• Analyze customer issues and propose appropriate parts solutions.
• Prepare sales proposals, follow up on quotations and close sales.
• Promote maintenance contracts and related services to increase revenue.
• Monitor customer satisfaction, loyalty and achieve defined sales targets.
• Manage daily sales transactions, update records in the system and follow up on back‑orders.
• Coordinate with the warehouse team to monitor stock levels, conduct inventory checks and handle returns.
• Maintain a clean, organized parts display area.

Required profile

• Post‑secondary degree (Bac+2/3) in business, mechanics, electromechanics or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience selling spare parts or technical services.
• Strong knowledge of the automotive, industrial or mechanical sector.
• Ability to diagnose customer problems and guide them to suitable solutions.
• Proven sales, negotiation and results‑orientation skills.

Required skills

• Operation of point‑of‑sale (POS) systems.
• Proficiency with spreadsheet software (e.g., Excel).
• Use of email and common office applications.
• Inventory control software and basic data‑entry tasks.
