Payments Application Support Lead

About the role

We are looking for a Payments Application Support Lead to join a leading fintech client on a 5‑month contract. The role is based in Cameroon (Douala or Yaounde) and focuses on driving demand, ensuring technical feasibility, and supporting user acceptance testing for next‑generation payment solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Map customer journeys and facilitate design‑thinking workshops.
• Write high‑quality Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), Functional Requirements Documents (FRDs), and User Stories with clear acceptance criteria.
• Own and groom the Next‑Gen demand backlog, maintaining end‑to‑end requirement traceability.
• Collaborate with Architecture teams on technical feasibility and support UAT planning, execution, and production sign‑off.

Required profile

• 5–8 years of total experience, with at least 3 years in fintech digital banking or mobile money environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or Business Administration.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum and Waterfall frameworks and BABOK principles.
• Certifications such as CBAP/CCBA, CSPO/PSPO, or ITIL are a plus.
