Regional Technical Manager – Bilingual (French/English)

About the role

The Regional Technical Manager is the primary technical authority for CBRE Excellerate’s Integrated Facilities Management (IFM) engagement across Sub‑Saharan Africa. Reporting to the delivery team, the role ensures seamless technical support for the client’s engineering organisation, handling incidents from notification to closure.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the definitive technical authority, providing evidence‑based guidance on engineering and facilities matters to FMs, PMs, contractors and the client.
• Own end‑to‑end incident and problem management, from classification and investigation to remediation, documentation and post‑incident review.
• Lead technical change assessments, ensuring method statements, risk assessments and rollback plans are in place before execution.
• Oversee technical validation of vendor and contractor proposals, ensuring compliance with standards and client expectations.

Required profile

• Bilingual fluency in French and English (written and spoken) – non‑negotiable.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in electrical engineering and critical facilities systems, preferably within a multi‑country IFM environment.
• Proven ability to operate autonomously across dispersed sites and manage stakeholder relationships.

Required skills

• Electrical engineering expertise, including UPS systems, generators, ATS units, HV/LV switchgear, HVAC, elevators and building management systems.
• Incident & problem management using ITSM/CMMS platforms.
• Change management and technical assessment of engineering modifications.
