School Counsellor (Part‑time) – St Anthony's School Dimbulah

About the role

The School Counsellor will support the mental health, wellbeing and resilience of all students at St Anthony's School, including those at‑risk or with special needs. Working collaboratively with teachers and staff, you will deliver both direct and indirect counselling interventions to promote equitable educational outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counselling to students across year levels.
• Develop and implement systemic interventions that address student wellbeing.
• Collaborate with teachers, families and external agencies to support at‑risk students.
• Contribute specialised knowledge to school planning and policy development.
• Maintain accurate records and adhere to confidentiality standards.

Required profile

• Degree‑level qualification in Education, Psychology or Social Work with relevant postgraduate experience.
• Registered with Queensland College of Teachers (QCT) or hold a Working with Children Blue Card.
• Full membership of the relevant professional body (QGCA, AHPRA, or AASW).
• Commitment to the ethos of Catholic Education.
