Senior Open API Specialist

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Open API Specialist to join a leading mobile financial services and FinTech organization in Cameroon. The role focuses on designing, governing, and securing a modern Open API ecosystem that connects partners, fintechs, merchants, and third‑party platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and manage enterprise‑grade Open APIs.
• Oversee the full API lifecycle, including versioning, documentation, and retirement.
• Administer API Gateway platforms and maintain developer portals.
• Onboard partners and integrate third‑party APIs securely.
• Monitor API performance, generate analytics, and ensure SLA compliance.

Required profile

• 6‑10 years of experience in API development, management, or systems integration.
• Background in Open Banking, FinTech, or mobile money ecosystems.
• Strong understanding of API security, governance, and authentication standards.
