Senior Python Backend Engineer - Billing & Stripe Connect

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Python/Flask Backend Engineer to design and implement a billing and payments module using Stripe Billing, Invoicing and Stripe Connect. The project is short‑term, remote, and focuses on invoicing brands and paying creators across multiple international markets.

Key responsibilities

• Integrate Stripe Billing/Invoicing and Stripe Connect into the existing platform.
• Implement mandate‑based bank debits and Stripe transfers.
• Manage Stripe Connect accounts and KYC processes for billing entities.
• Design the data model and billing‑cycle closing processes.
• Track payments, handle payment failures and prevent duplicate invoices.
• Build reliable webhook handling for Stripe events.
• Account for VAT, multiple currencies and various bank debit methods across countries.

Required profile

• Senior‑level Python/Flask backend developer with recent hands‑on Stripe experience.
• Proven experience with Stripe Billing and/or Stripe Connect.
• Comfortable with data modelling, B2B billing systems, and domain‑driven design.
• Strong understanding of webhooks, payment reliability, testing and CI pipelines.
