Technical Officer – Community HIV Programs

About the role

The Technical Officer will provide technical guidance for community‑based HIV testing, treatment, care and support services in Garoua, Cameroon. Working under the direction of senior technical leadership, the officer will ensure that project activities are implemented on time, within budget, and according to established standard operating procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical support to sub‑granted partners for the implementation of the workplan, reviewing progress and addressing challenges.
• Develop, adapt and disseminate tools, materials, workplans and progress reports for the project.
• Set up and maintain robust monitoring mechanisms to track partner activities and ensure compliance with SOPs.
• Coordinate closely with the Strategic Information and Evaluation team to promote data‑driven decision‑making.
• Assist with overall project implementation, ensuring timelines and budgets are adhered to.

Required profile

• Experience in community health programs, preferably HIV/AIDS service delivery.
• Strong knowledge of public‑health guidelines and case‑finding strategies (first 95 of UNAIDS).
• Ability to work collaboratively with government agencies, NGOs, and international partners.
• Excellent analytical, coordination and communication skills.
