About the role

Nord‑Salten videregående skole is looking for a motivated teacher to join its small campus in Steigen. The position is part‑time (up to 50 % permanent) and involves teaching first‑year upper secondary students in both academic and vocational streams.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver curriculum‑based lessons to small groups of VG1 students.
• Act as study advisor for the Nettskolen Nordland online programme, supporting local learners with planning, exam preparation and accommodations.
• Contribute to the school community by assisting with student breakfast/lunch duties a few days per week.
• Collaborate with colleagues to create inclusive learning environments and adapt teaching for diverse needs.

Required profile

• Formal teaching qualification for VG1 upper secondary education.
• Strong relational skills and the ability to work independently.
• Flexibility and a solution‑oriented mindset in a varied workday.
• Willingness to teach multiple subjects, preferably in mathematics, natural sciences, geography, language or social studies.

Required skills

• Proficiency with PC and standard office software.
• Experience using Inschool, Microsoft Teams and the Office suite.
• Familiarity with digital assessment tools such as Dugga and Safe Exam Browser.
