Visual Arts Teacher

We are seeking a passionate, creative, and inspiring Visual Arts Teacher to join our dynamic school community. The successful candidate will deliver engaging, high‑quality lessons that encourage students to explore their creativity, develop artistic skills, and express themselves across a range of media. This role is ideal for someone with a strong understanding of visual arts and experience in an international or multicultural environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver age‑appropriate Visual Arts lessons aligned with the school curriculum.
• Teach a variety of techniques, including drawing, painting, sculpture, mixed media, digital art and other visual expressions.
• Create an inclusive classroom that fosters experimentation, self‑expression and respect for diverse artistic traditions.
• Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback and maintain accurate records of achievement.
• Prepare and manage art materials, equipment and classroom resources.
• Encourage participation in exhibitions, competitions, school events and portfolio development.
• Integrate cross‑curricular projects and promote interdisciplinary learning.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, safeguarding and child‑protection policies.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents and school leadership to support student development.
• Participate in school meetings, professional development and wider school life.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts, Visual Arts, Art Education or a related field.
• Teaching qualification or relevant certification (preferred).
• Previous experience teaching Visual Arts, preferably in an international or multicultural school.
• Strong knowledge of traditional and contemporary art techniques.
• Ability to teach students of varying ages and ability levels.
• Creative, enthusiastic, patient and adaptable teaching style.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• Commitment to child safeguarding and creating a safe, inclusive learning environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency in using technology and digital tools to enhance art instruction.
