About the role

Giiyo Tech, a STEM education nonprofit in Cameroon, is seeking a Volunteer Social Media Manager to shape its online presence. This fully remote role allows you to turn photos and video clips from the field into engaging content that tells the organization’s story and expands its audience.

Key responsibilities

• Convert raw visual material into posts for various social platforms.
• Write captions that reflect Giiyo Tech’s voice and capture attention.
• Plan and maintain a consistent posting schedule.
• Grow reach and engagement over time.
• Propose new ideas for online presence and execute approved strategies.

Required profile

• Understanding of what works on social media and why.
• Strong writing ability with a sense of tone and timing.
• Reliability and ownership, as you will run this function independently.
• No formal experience required; showcase any relevant work you have created.
