WordPress Developer – Office based in Yaoundé

About the role

Visionary Technologies™ Company (VTC) is seeking a skilled WordPress Web Designer to create, build, and optimise modern, responsive websites for its clients. The position is full‑time, office‑based in Yaoundé VI – Biyem‑Assi, and requires a blend of creative UI/UX design and technical WordPress development.

Key responsibilities

• Design modern, mobile‑first website layouts and landing pages based on business requirements.
• Develop and customise WordPress sites, including theme customisation and plugin integration.
• Convert visual designs into responsive pages using HTML5, CSS3, and basic JavaScript.
• Ensure cross‑device/browser compatibility, optimise performance, SEO and accessibility.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers and marketing teams throughout project cycles.
• Maintain and update existing sites, fix bugs, and apply security best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in Web Design, Graphic Design, Computer Science, Digital Media or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of WordPress development experience and at least 5 years of overall IT/digital experience.
• Strong portfolio of live business or corporate websites, preferably projects in Cameroon or similar markets.

What we offer

• Salary: 200,000 FCFA per month (performance and experience considered)
• Working hours: Mon‑Fri 8:00‑17:30, Sat 8:00‑13:30
