WordPress Web Designer – Onsite in Yaoundé

About the role

Visionary Technologies™ Company (VTC) is seeking a skilled WordPress Web Designer to join its Yaoundé office. The role blends creative UI/UX design with hands‑on WordPress development to deliver modern, responsive websites for business and institutional clients.

Key responsibilities

• Design mobile‑first, responsive website layouts and landing pages based on business requirements.
• Translate visual concepts into functional WordPress sites, customizing themes and integrating plugins.
• Convert designs into clean HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript, ensuring cross‑browser and cross‑device compatibility.
• Apply UI/UX best practices, improve navigation, and optimise site speed, SEO and accessibility.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers and marketing teams throughout project planning and execution.
• Maintain and update existing sites, fix bugs, and enforce security and performance standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in Web Design, Graphic Design, Computer Science or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of WordPress development experience and at least 5 years of overall IT/digital experience.
• Strong portfolio of live business or corporate websites, preferably with projects in Cameroon or similar markets.

• Responsive design and cross‑browser testing
• UI/UX principles and design systems
• Figma, Adobe XD, Photoshop, Illustrator

What we offer

• Full‑time permanent contract with a monthly salary of 200,000 FCFA (performance‑based adjustments possible).
• Office‑based work in Yaoundé VI – Biyem‑Assi, Monday‑Friday 8:00 AM‑5:30 PM, Saturday 8:00 AM‑1:30 PM.
