Certified Surgical Technician (PRN)

About the role

We are seeking a Certified Surgical Technician (PRN) to join our operating room team. The successful candidate will support surgeons, nurses, and other staff during surgical procedures, ensuring a safe and efficient environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain medical equipment, instruments, sterile drapes, and solutions for each surgery.
• Assist with patient preparation, including washing, shaving, and disinfecting incision sites.
• Transport patients to the OR, position them on the table, and apply sterile drapes.
• Pass instruments, hold retractors, cut sutures, and count sponges, needles, and supplies.
• Operate sterilizers, lights, suction machines, and other diagnostic equipment.
• Help transfer patients to recovery and clean/re‑stock the operating room after each case.
• Support the Materials Manager with supply ordering, charge entry, and inventory control.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited surgical technologist program.
• At least 2 years of experience in a surgical or related clinical setting.
• Current CPR certification.
• Ability to work under the supervision of physicians and registered nurses.
