Head of Centre for Healthcare (Part‑time)

About the role

The Head of the Centre for Healthcare will steer both operational and strategic activities of the Centre at IIM Udaipur. Reporting to the Faculty Co‑Chairs, this part‑time, hybrid position bridges academic research, health policy, and industry practice.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day administrative and financial operations, including budget allocation for projects such as EQUIP and HEFA.
• Lead, mentor, and manage a multidisciplinary team of researchers, project managers, and support staff.
• Develop systems to monitor project milestones and centre‑wide KPIs.
• Identify and drive strategic initiatives that position the Centre as a thought leader in the healthcare ecosystem.
• Serve as primary liaison with government bodies, NGOs, healthcare providers, industry partners, students, and faculty.
• Translate academic insights into actionable policy recommendations and practical frameworks.
• Represent the Centre at national and international forums.
• Direct research output across academic papers, white papers, policy briefs, and public‑engagement content.
• Organise conferences, seminars, and events to disseminate knowledge.
• Secure funding through grants, CSR contributions, and industry collaborations.

Required profile

• Minimum 25 years of leadership experience in the healthcare sector, preferably combining management consulting, industry leadership, and social impact.
• Deep understanding of the Indian healthcare ecosystem, policy environment, and industry dynamics.
• Proven ability to manage complex operations and large multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong track record of research publication and public advocacy.
