Marketing Manager (FMCG/Tobacco)

About the role

The Marketing Manager will lead the development and execution of marketing strategies to strengthen the brand portfolio, launch new products, and grow market share across Cameroon. This role requires deep knowledge of FMCG and tobacco distribution channels and a strong understanding of the local consumer landscape.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement brand positioning, identity, and messaging for all product lines.
• Lead end‑to‑end product launches, from concept through market introduction.
• Develop annual marketing plans aligned with commercial objectives and manage the associated budget.
• Design and execute media and non‑media communication plans.
• Collaborate with sales, distribution, and finance teams to ensure effective trade‑marketing execution.
• Conduct market research, monitor competitor activity, and provide actionable insights.
• Track key performance indicators such as market share, brand awareness, sales volume, and ROI.
• Prepare regular marketing reports and dashboards for senior management.
• Recruit, train, and coach junior marketing staff.

Required profile

• MBA or Master’s degree in Marketing, Business or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in marketing management, preferably within FMCG or tobacco.
• Proven track record of building brands and launching successful products.
• Strong knowledge of FMCG distribution channels and the Cameroonian market.
• Fluent French and professional working proficiency in English.
