Finance Manager – Cameroon

About the role

The Norwegian Refugee Council is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to lead its finance function in Cameroon. The role provides strategic financial leadership across multiple humanitarian programmes, ensuring robust risk management, compliance, and accurate reporting in a complex operating environment.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee implementation of finance policies, procedures, strategies, and initiatives across country and area offices.
• Provide line‑management for the finance team, ensuring consistency, compliance and capacity building.
• Lead financial risk management, audit coordination and budgeting processes.
• Support strategic financial planning and analysis for humanitarian programmes.
• Ensure accurate financial reporting to donors, regulatory bodies and internal stakeholders.
• Travel regularly to field offices and regional locations to support finance operations.

Required profile

• Minimum three years of senior finance management experience in a humanitarian or recovery context.
• Strong understanding of Cameroon’s legal and regulatory framework.
• Proven ability to lead and develop national finance teams.
• Strategic thinker with strong analytical capabilities.
