Medical Associate – Call Centre & Data Entry (Douala)

About the role

The Migration Health Assessment Centre (MHAC) in Douala is seeking a Medical Associate to support both call‑centre operations and data‑entry activities. Working under the Chief Migration Health Officer and the Senior Medical Assistant, you will provide accurate information to migrants and ensure smooth processing of health assessment appointments.

Key responsibilities

• Answer migrant inquiries by phone, register them in the IOM database, schedule and confirm medical appointments.
• Prepare and maintain master lists of migrants scheduled for health assessments and submit them to service providers.
• Collect, verify, and enter applicant biodata, capture photographs, and generate required medical and consent forms.
• Receive, sort, and forward completed medical examination documents, X‑rays, and other records to relevant partners via electronic transmission or courier.
• Maintain daily statistics on health assessments and contribute to customer‑satisfaction reporting.
• File incoming and outgoing correspondence, including letters, reports, emails, and faxes related to medical matters.

Required profile

• Ability to work under the supervision of the CMHO and Senior Medical Assistant.
• Flexibility to alternate between call‑centre and reception/data‑entry tasks as needed.
• Strong attention to detail for accurate data entry and document handling.
• Good communication skills to provide clear information to migrants.
