Account Manager – Strategic Financial Institutions (CEMAC)

About the role

The Account Manager will oversee a portfolio of strategic financial institution clients—including banks and micro‑finance organisations—across the CEMAC region. Based in Cameroon, you will be responsible for maximizing recurring revenue, driving cross‑sell and up‑sell opportunities, and building long‑term trusted relationships in a fast‑evolving market.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and grow a portfolio of banks and micro‑finance institutions across Cameroon, Gabon, Congo, Chad, Central African Republic and Equatorial Guinea.
• Develop deep relationships with CIOs, CTOs, business heads and executive management to act as a trusted advisor.
• Identify, propose and close cross‑sell and up‑sell opportunities for new modules, upgrades and additional services.
• Lead commercial negotiations, contract renewals, pricing and licensing agreements while ensuring timely invoicing and payments.
• Promote SBS core banking, digital banking, data/AI platforms and specialised banking components using a solution‑selling approach.
• Maintain accurate pipeline and account data in Salesforce and provide regular forecasts and performance reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Finance, IT or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience selling software solutions to banks or micro‑finance institutions, with a proven record of revenue growth.
• Demonstrated ability to manage large strategic accounts and navigate complex, multi‑stakeholder environments.
• Experience working in Africa, preferably within the CEMAC region, and fluency in French and English.
• Willingness to travel frequently across the region and work autonomously with high rigor.
