Business Development Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a dynamic and results‑oriented Business Development Specialist to join a growing organization in Yaoundé. The role focuses on developing new business opportunities, acquiring and managing partners, maintaining client relationships, and driving commercial growth in the finance sector.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, prospect, and acquire new merchants, clients, and business partners.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and partners.
• Follow up on partnerships and ensure continued engagement.
• Identify new business opportunities and contribute to market expansion.
• Develop and implement commercial strategies to achieve business objectives.
• Conduct field visits and commercial activities as required.
• Monitor client and partner needs and provide appropriate solutions.
• Contribute to the improvement of products and services through client and market feedback.
• Prepare regular reports on business development activities and results.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Banking, Accounting, Marketing, Business Administration, Commerce, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of proven experience in Business Development, Sales, or a related commercial role.
• Professional experience in the finance sector.
• Experience in FinTech, digital payments, banking, financial services, or related industries is strongly preferred.
• Fluent in English and French.
• Willingness to travel for field activities within Yaoundé.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative.
• Strong autonomy, tenacity, determination, and results orientation.

Required skills

• Strong understanding of sales, business development, and client acquisition.
• Strong ability to negotiate, sell, and develop partnerships.
• Good knowledge of digital tools and Microsoft Office.
• Comfortable using AI tools and digital platforms.
• Knowledge of CRM systems is an advantage.
