Chief Financial Officer (CFO) – Finance Leader

About the role

The Chief Financial Officer will lead the finance function of a diversified conglomerate operating in manufacturing, distribution, cross‑border trade and investments across Cameroon and neighbouring African markets. Reporting to senior management, the CFO ensures the financial health, compliance and strategic insight needed for growth.

Key responsibilities

• Lead annual budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis for all business units.
• Prepare consolidated financial statements in accordance with OHADA standards and IFRS.
• Oversee tax filings, statutory audits and regulatory reporting across multiple jurisdictions.
• Manage cash flow, liquidity and working‑capital optimisation for high‑volume trade and manufacturing.
• Mitigate currency, credit and cross‑border transaction risks.
• Utilise Odoo ERP to automate financial workflows and improve inventory and supply‑chain finance.
• Analyse cost structures, recommend cost‑saving measures and align financial goals with operations.
• Design and enforce internal controls, ensuring compliance with OHADA, tax and transfer‑pricing regulations.
• Mentor and manage a finance team, fostering collaboration across accounting, treasury and compliance.
• Collaborate with senior management, auditors, banks and regulators to provide actionable financial insights.

Required profile

• 15+ years of finance experience, including at least 5 years in a senior finance role.
• Proven experience in Cameroon or Francophone Africa within a multi‑sector organisation.
• CA/CPA/MBA in Finance or equivalent qualification.

Required skills

• Expertise in OHADA accounting and audit standards.
• Proficiency with Odoo ERP for financial reporting and process automation.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Familiarity with Business Intelligence tools such as Power BI.
