Country Head of Internal Audit

About the role

We are seeking a Country Head of Internal Audit to lead the internal audit function for Dangote Cement Cameroon. The role will act as the primary audit business partner, embedding strong governance, driving compliance, and providing independent assurance across the plant, head office and supply chain.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Audit Committee in establishing effective control systems and ensuring compliance with group policies.
• Prepare, obtain approval for, and execute annual risk‑based internal audit plans covering all core business processes.
• Define and maintain the internal audit organisational structure with appropriate resources.
• Lead the whistle‑blowing program, oversee investigations and ensure resolutions are implemented.
• Keep policies, procedures manuals and audit methodologies up to date and disseminate them throughout the country.
• Drive the Audit Committee process by collating audit activity reports and presenting them to relevant committees.
• Monitor risk KPIs and ensure timely follow‑up on recommendations from key risk reports.

Required profile

• Minimum degree in Accountancy from a recognised university (ACCA qualification required).
• Full membership of ACCA or CIMA.
• Masters in accounting or an MBA is an added advantage.
• At least ten (10) years of progressive experience, with a minimum of five (5) years in a management role.
