Deputy General Manager

About the role

The Deputy General Manager supports the CEO in shaping and executing the company’s strategic and operational agenda. Acting as the CEO’s proxy when needed, the role ensures continuity of leadership across all business functions.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the CEO in developing and implementing the corporate strategic plan.
• Represent the CEO in official bodies and act as his/her substitute when required.
• Co‑create the industrial development plan together with the Operations and Commercial Directors.
• Oversee the execution of strategic marketing and industrial initiatives.
• Coordinate and supervise Operations, Commercial & Marketing, and Quality/SHE departments.
• Set objectives for functional directors and monitor target achievement.
• Chair Industrial and Marketing Committees and serve as Vice‑Chair of the Executive Committee.
• Facilitate communication among operational units and manage relationships with social, technical and financial partners.
• Prepare daily/weekly dashboards, monthly/quarterly activity reports, annual financial statements and project progress reports.

Required profile

• Engineering degree combined with an MBA or Master’s in Business Management (Bac +5).
• At least 10 years of director‑level experience, including 5 years in the agro‑industrial sector (preferably palm oil).
• Proven track record in project management and partnership development.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office.
• Experience using ERP systems.
• Knowledge of SCADA platforms.
• Ability to work with AutoCAD.
