Field Officer

About the role

Wave is expanding its cashless financial services across Cameroon and needs a Field Officer to manage product rollouts, oversee distribution and marketing, and engage directly with users and agents in the field.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and build a local agent network and ensure agents are fully trained on the Wave application, contracts, rebalancing, and fraud management.
• Recruit target users, onboard them onto Wave products and collaborate with other field officers to drive adoption.
• Monitor agent compliance, branding, cash and float availability, and conduct routine visits to assess performance and manage risk.
• Close underperforming agents, recover equipment and remove branding materials.
• Serve as the primary contact for the agency network in the assigned territory and champion excellent customer service.

Required profile

• Fluent French with a good command of English; speaking Fulfulde is mandatory.
• At least 2 years of experience managing an agent network in Cameroon, including 1 year leading field‑based teams.
• Familiarity with one of the target regions (Yaoundé, Bafoussam, Bertoua, Maroua/Kaéle).
• Work authorization in Cameroon.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Excel.
