iOS Developer – Build Healthcare Mobile Apps

About the role

WASPITO is looking for a full‑time iOS Developer to join its Douala office and help build mobile solutions that connect patients, providers and health institutions across Africa. You will work on innovative apps that improve access to medical services and support the company’s mission of strengthening the continent’s healthcare ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with product managers, designers and backend engineers to define and implement new features.
• Write clean, testable Swift code using Xcode and follow best practices for performance and reliability.
• Integrate iOS applications with RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Optimize app performance, fix bugs and ensure a smooth user experience.
• Participate in code reviews, continuous integration pipelines and contribute to the mobile development lifecycle.

Required profile

• Strong experience in iOS development with Swift and Xcode.
• Solid software engineering fundamentals, including object‑oriented programming and version control (Git).
• Familiarity with agile development processes.
• Experience integrating mobile apps with RESTful APIs.
• Knowledge of App Store deployment, CI/CD and mobile testing frameworks.
• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a cross‑functional team.
