Junior Mobile Developer (React Native)

About the role

KwadRise is looking for a Junior Mobile Developer to help build cross‑platform finance, health and commerce solutions for African markets. You will work closely with senior engineers, follow a proven delivery playbook, and ship features that keep our apps fast, reliable and delightful.

Key responsibilities

• Implement new product features in React Native using TypeScript and the shared component kit.
• Debug and improve performance of existing Android and iOS builds, coordinating with QA for releases.
• Integrate REST and GraphQL APIs, handling authentication, caching and error states.
• Contribute to automated tests (unit, component, E2E) and manage Expo/EAS deployment workflows.
• Document implementation decisions to keep product, design and delivery teams aligned.
• Participate in stand‑ups, demos and retrospectives to ensure fast and transparent delivery.

Required profile

• 1+ years of experience building mobile apps with React Native or strong React skills with mobile exposure.
• Solid grasp of JavaScript/TypeScript fundamentals, async patterns and state‑management libraries.
• Experience consuming REST APIs and handling authentication, caching and error handling.
• Working knowledge of Git, code reviews and CI pipelines.
• Comfort collaborating with designers, product managers and QA in a distributed team.
• Clear written and spoken English or French and proactive communication.
