Learning and Development Senior Specialist

About the role

Maersk is seeking a senior Learning and Development specialist to shape capability‑building initiatives for the Customer Experience organization across West Africa. You will partner with regional and global stakeholders to design, deliver and evaluate learning programs that support strategic business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the Area Customer Experience Learning & Development strategy and roadmap aligned with organizational goals.
• Conduct competency assessments and gap analyses to identify learning priorities.
• Design and implement learning programs in collaboration with global L&D teams, learning academies and subject‑matter experts.
• Facilitate onboarding, upskilling and reskilling initiatives for Area Customer Experience teams.
• Measure training effectiveness using performance metrics to assess knowledge transfer and business impact.
• Promote a culture of continuous learning by driving engagement and adoption of learning initiatives.
• Manage learning communications, maintain content repositories and track the L&D budget for the area.

Required profile

• Continuous‑improvement mindset with curiosity about how work gets done.
• Proven experience in Learning & Development, Training, Talent Development or Organizational Development.
• Strong capability in learning content creation and instructional design.
