Medical Laboratory Assistant II – Full-time

About the role

Baptist Health is seeking a Medical Laboratory Assistant II to join the new Baptist Silver Leaf Medical Campus in Jacksonville, Florida. This full‑time, day‑shift role supports the primary care offices that provide family medicine, pediatrics, and internal medicine services.

Key responsibilities

• Perform a variety of clerical and technical duties associated with pre‑ and post‑analytical handling of laboratory specimens and results.
• Communicate laboratory results and respond to specimen‑related questions from physicians and other caregivers.
• Collect blood specimens for routine and special laboratory procedures.
• Utilize computer functions to enter, retrieve, and manage laboratory data.

Required profile

• Ability to work full‑time day shift, Monday‑Friday, 7:00 am – 3:30 pm.
• Strong attention to detail in handling specimens and data.
• Effective communication with clinical staff.
