Mining Manager – Quarry Operations

About the role

The Quarry Manager leads all quarry activities to meet production targets while ensuring safety, quality, and environmental compliance in Cameroon. Reporting to the Quarry Head, the role focuses on efficient extraction, processing, and delivery of aggregates.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and supervise drilling, blasting, extraction, crushing, and screening operations.
• Set daily, weekly, and monthly production targets and monitor performance.
• Optimize equipment usage and ensure raw material availability.
• Oversee machinery (excavators, loaders, dump trucks, bulldozers, crushers) and coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Lead production teams, organize work schedules, and participate in recruitment and staff evaluation.
• Implement HSE procedures, ensure compliance with mining and environmental regulations, and prevent workplace accidents.
• Guarantee aggregate quality by monitoring crushing and screening processes and collaborating with the laboratory.
• Prepare production reports, track operating costs and stock levels, and report progress to management.

Required profile

• Degree in Mining Engineering, Geology, Civil Engineering, Public Works, or a related field (Bac+3/Bac+5).
• 5‑10 years of experience in quarry or mining operations, preferably in aggregates or construction materials production.
• Industrial Risk Management training and ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 certifications.

Required skills
