People Advisor

About the role

As a People Advisor at Maersk you will be the primary point of contact for employees, handling HR queries and ensuring a positive employee experience. You will work closely with People Partners and business leaders across Africa to support the new HR service delivery model.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with HR procedures, policies, directives, systems and regulations for assigned countries.
• Resolve employee and manager HR queries via online, phone or on‑site channels.
• Support training and change‑management initiatives, especially for frontline staff.
• Manage case lifecycles: open, update, escalate, resolve and close.
• Guide users on self‑service tools in Workday and other HR systems.
• Maintain HR data quality and execute transactions in Workday.
• Prepare and handle HR documentation, including onboarding and off‑boarding processes.
• Upload and update performance forms and other system records.
• Provide administrative support to the broader HR community.

Required profile

• Experience in HR support or advisory functions.
• Strong understanding of HR processes, policies and compliance.
• Ability to communicate clearly with employees and leaders.
• Proactive attitude toward continuous improvement of HR services.

Required skills

• Workday (HRIS) proficiency.
• Case management in HR systems.
• Onboarding and off‑boarding process knowledge.
