React Native Developer (On‑site Contract)

About the role

Instanvi is seeking an on‑site React Native Developer on a contract basis in Douala. You will build and maintain mobile applications that connect to Instanvi’s ERP, POS, and communication platforms, delivering high‑performance experiences on both iOS and Android.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and ship new features using React Native.
• Integrate RESTful APIs and manage application state with Redux or similar libraries.
• Collaborate daily with designers, product managers, and backend engineers to ensure seamless user experiences.
• Write clean, testable code, conduct code reviews, and debug production issues.
• Optimize apps for scalability, reliability, and performance.
• Contribute to technical documentation and improve development workflows.

Required profile

• Strong front‑end development background with React Native and JavaScript.
• Experience with state‑management tools such as Redux.
• Solid grasp of software development fundamentals, including Git, testing, and debugging.
• Familiarity with backend concepts (RESTful APIs, JSON, authentication).
• Experience with mobile tooling (Android Studio, Xcode, app‑store deployment) is a plus.
• Ability to work collaboratively on‑site in a multicultural environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience is advantageous.
• Prior experience building products for emerging markets or African businesses is a plus.
