Regional Lead

About the role

Wave is building cashless financial services across Africa and is looking for a Regional Lead in Cameroon. The role reports to the Country Launcher and is responsible for overseeing the agent network acquisition and user growth across the assigned region.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate Field Officers to identify and acquire new agents, ensuring compliance with selection criteria and legal requirements.
• Oversee agent contracting, training, activation, and ongoing liquidity management.
• Monitor agent performance, risk, compliance, and brand visibility, and manage agent churn processes.
• Lead a team of Field Officers and promoters to drive user acquisition, retention, and distribution strategies.
• Collect and analyze field operation data to provide strategic recommendations and optimize regional performance.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in a related field.
• Fluent in French and English.
• Minimum 5 years experience managing agent networks or user acquisition in Cameroon, with at least 2 years leading field‑based teams.
• Prior launch experience and experience working in up‑country locations is desirable.
