Senior Communications Manager

About the role

The Denis & Lenora Foretia Foundation is seeking a Senior Communications Manager to lead the planning, production, and delivery of high‑quality communications across its programmes, events, publications and partnerships. This senior, hands‑on role will translate institutional priorities into clear communication objectives and ensure consistent messaging across all channels.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute communication plans for major initiatives, reports, campaigns and events.
• Coordinate the creation of press releases, media advisories, social media posts, newsletters, website updates and other communication assets.
• Lead campaign planning, including briefs, story identification, and pre‑, live‑ and post‑event communications.
• Draft, review and edit a wide range of content such as press releases, articles, speeches, talking points, blog posts and success stories.
• Maintain editorial quality control and ensure all materials meet the Foundation’s standards.
• Manage timelines, trackers and approvals to meet deadlines.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level experience in communications, public relations or media within a non‑profit or development context.
• Strong ability to move projects from concept to completion with minimal supervision.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Demonstrated capacity to work collaboratively with programme teams and external partners.

Required skills

• Content drafting, editing and proofreading.

• Familiarity with digital communication channels (website, social media, newsletters).
