Senior Officer, Assurance Provider Oversight

About the role

Rainforest Alliance is seeking a proactive Senior Officer to lead Assurance Provider Oversight across Africa. You will coordinate certification body monitoring, ensure audit quality, and help strengthen the credibility of our sustainability certification system.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, execute, and continuously improve the annual Assurance Provider Oversight plan.
• Coordinate and schedule certification body (CB) monitoring audits, overseeing follow‑up activities.
• Lead a team of experienced auditors, ensuring consistent interpretation of procedures and standards.
• Design, implement, and refine procedures, policies, and rules as needed.
• Collaborate with regional and global teams to advance Rainforest Alliance’s assurance strategy.
• Translate field insights into improvements for the Rainforest Alliance Standard and assurance system.
• Provide logistical and administrative support, including contract and payment management.
• Manage stakeholder communication to ensure alignment, transparency, and timely dissemination of information.

Required profile

• University degree in administration or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in an administrative support role.
• Fluent written and spoken French and English.
• Strong knowledge of auditing systems and continuous‑improvement cycles.
