Senior Product Owner

About the role

Maviance PLC, a fast‑growing digital financial services provider operating in Cameroon, is seeking a Senior Product Owner. You will translate business strategy, customer needs, regulatory requirements and technical realities into a clear, prioritized product backlog and delivery roadmap for mobile apps, web platforms and API‑based services.

Key responsibilities

• Define and own a multi‑year product vision for mobile, web and integration platforms.
• Translate company strategy into product OKRs and prioritize initiatives based on business value, customer impact, regulatory implications and technical feasibility.
• Own and maintain a transparent, prioritized product backlog aligned with the approved roadmap.
• Manage trade‑offs between customer‑facing features, platform scalability, regulatory requirements and technical debt.
• Ensure backlog items are well‑defined, estimated, sequenced and ready before sprint planning.
• Convert roadmap initiatives into epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, release scopes and measurable outcomes.
• Provide day‑to‑day product direction to agile squads and coach junior Product Owners or Business Analysts.
• Standardize backlog structure and Definition of Ready, ensuring outcome‑driven product requirements.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience as a Product Owner in digital financial services or related fintech environments.
• Proven ability to work across product management, engineering, compliance, operations, customer support and commercial stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of regulatory considerations and operational stability in emerging markets.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
