Shift Electromechanic

About the role

The Shift Electromechanic provides technical support in electromechanics, electrical systems and instrumentation, contributing to better equipment performance and productivity. The role reports to the Maintenance Coordinator and escalates complex situations to management. It is a full-time position in Douala.

Key responsibilities

• Adapt electrical systems to process requirements and maintain them
• Carry out preventive, corrective and breakdown maintenance on production equipment
• Diagnose electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and instrumentation faults and apply corrective actions
• Monitor installations and optimize performance to reduce production downtime
• Take part in installation, adjustment, commissioning and continuous improvement of industrial equipment
• Perform inspections, tests and controls to ensure compliance and safety
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and technical documentation
• Report major abnormalities to management
• Follow and promote safety, quality, environmental and food safety procedures

Required profile

• BTS, DUT, HND or professional bachelor's degree in electromechanical engineering, industrial maintenance, electrical engineering, automation or a related field
• 3 to 5 years of experience in a technical environment or electrical maintenance in a process industry, preferably food processing
• Good understanding of industrial electrical regulations and standards
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills; proactive, adaptable and team-oriented

• Electrical engineering, instrumentation and industrial automation
• Industrial electrical systems and PLC programming (Siemens STEP7)
• AutoCAD and industrial communication networks (Profibus, Ethernet)
• Reading electrical, mechanical and instrumentation diagrams and schematics
