Software Engineer (Multiple Roles)

About the role

KwadRise engineers build platforms that power commerce, fintech, health, and public‑sector products across Africa. As a Software Engineer you will design and implement features across web or mobile front‑ends, APIs, or infrastructure, while collaborating closely with designers and product managers.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement features for web/mobile front‑ends, APIs, or infrastructure based on your focus area.
• Review architecture proposals, unblock teammates, and champion engineering excellence.
• Improve observability, reliability, and security baselines for client and internal products.
• Collaborate with designers and product managers to translate business requirements into roadmaps.
• Write tests, own deployments, and measure impact using analytics and user feedback.
• Contribute to internal libraries, templates, and development tooling to accelerate delivery.

Required profile

• 3+ years of professional software development experience (front‑end, back‑end, or full‑stack).
• Proficiency with TypeScript and either React/Next.js or Node.js/NestJS.
• Experience designing and consuming REST or GraphQL APIs and working with SQL or NoSQL databases.
• Understanding of version control, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platforms such as Vercel, AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Ability to break down ambiguous requirements and communicate trade‑offs clearly.
• Passion for mentoring others and contributing to inclusive team rituals.
