Solution Architect – Enterprise Wallet Platform (5‑month contract)

About the role

We are looking for a Solution Architect to lead the design and governance of an Enterprise Wallet Platform (EWP) for a fintech client in Cameroon. The role is a 5‑month contract reporting to the Head of Technology & Information Security and requires strong technical leadership across delivery teams and external vendors.

Key responsibilities

• Produce High‑Level and Low‑Level Designs for EWP initiatives, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards and security frameworks.
• Design API, middleware, and event‑driven integration patterns linking the wallet platform to core banking systems, payment switches, and third‑party services.
• Provide architectural guidance, sign‑offs, and support to development teams, championing non‑functional requirements and production readiness.
• Define the long‑term technical roadmap, reduce technical debt, and promote reusable cloud‑native architecture patterns.

Required profile

• 8–12 years of experience in software engineering, systems integration, or architecture, with at least 5 years in fintech, mobile money, or wallet/payments platforms.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering; preferred certifications include TOGAF, AWS/Azure Solution Architect, or ITIL Foundation.
• Proven ability to navigate regulatory, audit, and security compliance requirements using UML, ArchiMate, or TOGAF modelling.
