Space Applications Expert, Earth Observation & Copernicus

About the role

NTU International is seeking a senior Space Applications Expert to support the Africa‑EU Space Partnership Programme. The role focuses on developing, deploying and promoting Earth Observation services and applications that leverage Copernicus data to address climate, environmental and development challenges across Africa.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver Earth Observation solutions using Copernicus data and products for sectors such as early‑warning, climate monitoring, agriculture, water management and biodiversity.
• Coordinate with African institutions and stakeholders to ensure uptake and relevance of EO services.
• Contribute to proposal development for the AESPP Boost project and support policy dialogue and knowledge exchange.
• Provide technical guidance and capacity‑building to partners on geospatial data processing and application development.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in geomatics, remote sensing, environmental science, meteorology, engineering or a related discipline.
• At least 8 years of professional experience in Earth Observation, geospatial services or climate/environmental applications.
• Minimum 4 years of experience designing EO services with Copernicus data.
• Demonstrated experience working with African institutions is an asset.
• Fluent English; working knowledge of French or Portuguese is a plus.
