Account Manager – Financial Institutions (CEMAC)

About the role

The Account Manager will be responsible for managing and expanding a portfolio of strategic financial institution clients—including banks and micro‑finance organisations—across the CEMAC region. Based in Cameroon, you will work closely with stakeholders in Cameroon, Gabon, Congo, Chad, Central African Republic and Equatorial Guinea to maximise recurring revenue and identify growth opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and nurture deep relationships with CIOs, CTOs, business heads and executive management of client banks and micro‑finance institutions.
• Identify, propose and close cross‑sell and up‑sell opportunities for core banking, digital banking, Data/AI platforms and related services.
• Lead commercial negotiations, manage contract renewals, pricing, licensing and ensure timely invoicing and payment collection.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of regional regulations (COBAC, BEAC) and industry trends to adapt sales strategies.
• Collaborate with Delivery, Support, Product and Marketing teams to guarantee a consistent customer experience.
• Track pipeline and account information in CRM (Salesforce), provide forecasts and meet quarterly/annual revenue targets.

Required profile

• Proven experience selling complex software solutions to financial institutions.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills in multicultural environments.
• Ability to engage and influence C‑level executives.
• Familiarity with the banking and micro‑finance ecosystem in the CEMAC region and its regulatory environment.

Required skills

• Salesforce (CRM) proficiency.
