Accountant – Travel Agency (Douala/Younde)

About the role

Bellaire Travels, an IATA‑certified travel agency, is looking for a qualified Accountant to join its finance team. The role starts with onboarding and training in Douala before moving to the Yaoundé branch for day‑to‑day responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain general and analytical accounting records using SAGE.
• Collect, verify, and file accounting documents, both physical and electronic.
• Manage invoicing and monitor customer payments through SAGE.
• Perform bank reconciliations and support the preparation of financial statements.
• Assist internal and external audits and ensure compliance with OHADA standards, Cameroonian tax regulations, and IATA requirements.
• Conduct fixed‑asset inventories for the Yaoundé branch and handle routine office purchases.
• Coordinate with the Administrative and Finance Manager to ensure timely payment of utilities and supplier invoices.
• Oversee administrative tasks for the Yaoundé office, including lease registration and official correspondence.

Required profile

• Higher National Diploma or Bachelor’s degree (Bac+2) in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in an accounting firm or travel agency.
• Strong knowledge of OHADA accounting standards and Cameroonian tax regulations.
• Professional integrity, attention to detail, and strong organizational abilities.
